Clinton Foundation Donor Will Moderate Debate

In past election cycles, this kind of conflict of interest was disallowed:

ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos on Thursday said he would not moderate his network's Republican primary debate next year after revealing that he had made $50,000 in previously undisclosed donations to the Clinton Foundation.

Stephanopoulos' decision came after several prominent Republican lawmakers questioned his objectivity in the wake of the revelations, among them Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, who is running for his party's presidential nomination.

The contributions by Stephanopoulos, a veteran of President Bill Clinton's administration who subsequently launched a media career, were first reported in Politico's On Media blog. Stephanopoulos apologized for not revealing the donations.

4. I don't know if anyone else remembers the debate he moderated with Hillary and Obama in 2008

I am guessing a few probably do remember it because it was an extremely controversial debate in which he threw all kinds of nasty gotcha questions at Obama while giving Hillary softball questions. He was the most biased moderator I have ever seen in a debate and his poor performance made headlines across the nation.

The fact that he is even still working as a "journalist" after that performance is bad enough, the fact that he is being allowed to moderate another debate is an outrage.

that if he wants to retain a SHRED of journalistic integrity, he will be even-handed. Still, he should NOT be moderating.

seem to win without cheating.

How is it that anyone calling themselves a Democrat can be OK with this?
