From 2000 into 2004 the website mediawhorseonline.com was oft quoted in the mainstream media. But the mainstream media, unwilling to quote "whore" usually called it "media horse online".
This probably caused a lot of people confusion as they searched online for the site. But it amused us fans and "The Horse" became the website's popular nickname. I think they put up a picture of a horse and "out to pasture" on their website when they stopped posting in 2004.
If someone says, "now you're calling Hillary a 'horse'" you can share the history as to how the mainstream media decided "horse" was an inoffensive alternative to the offensive word.
FYI: the name has since been taken over by a not-safe-for-work website. So don't go looking for it.
