(841 posts)They recently endorsed Hillary Clinton for President: "She would likely make a better President than any of the GOP candidates."
That's all you need to know.

Such nonsensical hyperbole

(11,589 posts)Don't ever, ever take the Koch brothers at their word when they speak of any Dem.
That is the GOP's job.

Jerk. Someone DARES to post a positive thread and you have to be an asshole.
Shocker.

(135,425 posts)Don't get any of that bull shit in your eye, now: http://www.snopes.com/koch-brothers-officially-endorse-hillary-clinton/
On April 23, 2016, Charles Koch was briefly on air on ABCs This Week with George Stephanopolous. During that interview, ABC Correspondent Jonathan Karl asked Koch, So is it possible that another Clinton could be better than another Republican this time around?"
Koch responded, Its possible. Its possible.
When pushed by Karl about whether he could see himself supporting Hillary Clinton, Koch hesitated, Well... we would have to believe her actions will be quite different from her rhetoric, lets put it that way.
It should be noted that the Koch brothers have not expressed support for either Trump or Cruz. Quite the opposite. Charles Koch claims they have not spent a dollar for or against any Republican presidential candidate this year, although they have been widely cited as being prepared to spend more than $900 million on this years presidential race. Charles Koch stated that this is because he and his brother are disgusted with the rhetoric being expressed by this years Republican candidates.
Hillary Clinton responded to the interview the next day, tweeting that shes not interested in endorsements from people who deny climate science and try to make it harder for people to vote.
Senator Sanders would dismantle Medicare, and take health insurance away from "millions and millions and millions of people". How classy.

(615 posts)Are you going to try to tell me that's not exactly what Hillary and Chelsea were saying the moment Bernie Sanders proposed his single-payer universal health care plan?
Some of us think that it's how someone acts during the heat of the campaign, not how they act at the end when they want voters from the person they disparaged, that shows how classy they really are.
liberalnarb
(4,532 posts)Anyway this is supposed to be a positive thread. I was hoping to avoid such prodding
Kall
(615 posts)No, I don't agree in any way, shape or form that the Clinton campaign kept it classy, and that's just one of the ways.

(10,336 posts)This primary exposed some of the rot in the system. I do hope we have a solid platform that can capture the entirety of the Bernie movement and not just those affiliated with the party.

(740 posts)...stop attacking each other for a week or two, all of us would have time to calm down and actually digest each others arguments instead of simply 'react and reject'.
Your post has a point and I'm trying so hard to not just ignore that point.

(3,282 posts)To see sniping on a post like this. C'mon people, let's bring it together, okay?
I'm a Sanders supporter, but I have every faith that Clinton will be a perfectly capable administrator. Let's not make this a game of "perfect or Hitler," okay?
And please, #VoteBlueNoMatterWho
It makes perfect sense for people to support Hillary who want someone with experience who won't go in and try to change too much too fast.
It also makes perfect sense for people to support Bernie who really want to see some of the changes he's been preaching.
Let's embrace the differences and stop the belittling and dismissal of each other.
