New meme that is pissing me off: If you are white, and you don't support a Hillary candidacy...

You are a racist.
You are also sexist.
You support back alley abortions
You are privileged
You don't care about Hispanics and Muslims
You are not a Democrat and never were
You hate Obama

Am i forgetting any?

I am white. My fiance is white. I don't support Hillary Clinton, nor do I support Donald Trump. I think they are both terrible candidates. That's my right. That's my right as a white woman, who lives at the poverty line despite having a degree.

I support single payer. I support paid family leave. I support the fight for $15. I support tuition free college.

Why does that make me privileged? Why am i a racist? Why am I sexist (even though I am a woman)? Why does that make me an enemy of Muslims and Hispanics?

Cut the shit Clinton supporters. You want people like me on your side. You want me pounding the pavement and making hundreds of calls like we just did here to win in RI. You want me on your side. So stop making me out to be your enemy.

I think economic injustice and racial injustice are related problems. Cure economic injustice, and it will be much easier to eliminate racial injustice.

When people feel under pressure, it's human nature for a society to form factions that war with each other.

Note how easy it was for the Nazis to direct the economically stressed German people to take out their pent-up frustrations on minorities.

The biggest problem is the growing lack of economic opportunity for most Americans. Fix that, and you will go a long way to fixing all our other problems.

They want to drag the party back to the Right (how many times do we have to hear how BS supporters aren't "realistic"?). Well, they can try. But I'm staying right were I'm at. Comfortable with my progressive ideals and values.

I guarantee the majority of Americans are ,moving in my direction, not Hillary's. She's a fossil, a relic of our past. Even if she gets elected, it'll be one and done. She isn't well liked, and there's a reason her campaign has kept her out of sight for most of the past 2 years. The more people see & hear of Hillary, the less they like her. And I think her supporters are a reflection of her antisocial idiosyncratic personality/behavior. They are taking a victory lap and spitting in our faces, rather than offering a hand and saying "good race".

Tens of thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) are readily self identifying as socialists RIGHT NOW in this campaign. America is changing before our eyes as young people see and want what Europeans have in quality of life.

I heard Hillary described on TV yesterday as an old woman, and it hit me. Yes. She is an old, out-of-touch woman attempting to portray someone more hip, someone in touch. Young people both laugh at her and despise what she stands for.

Status quo as a strategy is dead. Gone.

I had a post blocked that was nothing more than an actual picture of Hillary in an orange pantsuit. It wasn't photoshopped or otherwise altered, and all I posted was "something in Orange, perhaps?"

That was it. That was all. If a fucking real picture of HRC with a fairly harmless bit of text is enough to get her supporters crying to mommy over the big bad Sanders bullies, her peeps are going to swallow their goddamn tongues and piss themselves when Trump and his minions open fire with shit A MILLION TIMES WORSE.

Hillary has faced nothing but underhand, slow pitch wiffle balls in the primaries. Trumps BILLIONS could be serving up 100mph chin music on a daily basis for the next 6 months. You people better toughen up real quick. Bernie played nice. The GOP won't. All the cute little cards and "loud voice" hectoring by HRC is going to fall short of countering the nuclear barrage coming Hillary's way.

Add to that his supporters are highly motivated. Hillary's? Not so much. Show me video of a HRC rally that DOESN'T resemble a viewing at a funeral home. Hard to get excited over Goldman Sachs' favorite Democrat.

eligible voters simply do not vote, you are a NYC resident where turnout among eligible Democrats in the recent election was 12% on average among the precincts. So those people are not threatening, they are just not voting, and they are always among us and particularly among those of you in NY.

Silence is consent and 71% of your State is silent in any given election. If you actually cared about that it would be super, because you have some skills and contacts and you could really get some people registered and some election culture changed. But that's a big old if.

I agree with you 100%. My family, friends and community support Bernie Sanders. Several are talking about voting for the Green Party. I have always been a Democrat and never voted against my Party. When they decided to turn their back and not support Al Gore I da id enough os enough. I drove from Queens, NY to Philadelphia, PA. to see John Kerry and Bill Clinton in October 2004. The media reported over 100,000 people were in Love Park. They said nothing when the voting machines flipped for George W. Bush. You tell me a county in Ohio with 600 resident brought in 2 million votes. In 2008 Hillary won Harlem and East New York with 100% of the votes. Obama received zero votes. Really, these two neighbors are close to 100% Black. Why would they not vote for the first Black President. Today, in NYS last week's primary was not certified. The Attorney General is investigating election fraud. Whether Democrat or Republican, no one trust that our votes count anymore. Clinton's people paid operatives 1 million dollars to surf the internet to bad rap Bernie supporters. Now they are calling people in Indiana and telling people he is no longer running. In Philadelphia hos name was not on the ballot. Bernie was 100% right. If Hillary wants Bernie people SHE has to earn it. He is a very decent man who I have been listening to for ten years. Iin 2094 CNN posted the counties and the votes coming in from each district. They said the population had 600 residents with 2 million votes. The man who was going to testify in front of Congress of how he channelled the numbers to North Carolina to bring the results in for a Bush win died in a plane crash the day before. He stated before his death that he was employed by Carl Rove. In 2008 Mayor Bloomberg went on television and reported the results in NYC. On local news we get information that National doesn't report.

You might be tempted to try to forget what a horrible candidate Hillary Clinton is and to hold your nose and vote for her. Worse yet, maybe even do some work for her campaign. But these people are reminding you of what Hillary and her campaign represent and what kind of supporters they attract.

for gaining control. Not respect or consent. Why would a candidate feel so CONFIDENT accusing the left of racism (we're not perfect but we are the least racist demographic) while Trump is wooing the Nazis, and Cruz the theocrats on the right? Who exactly does she expect to vote for her? People on all sides will not vote for someone this vicious and insulting, and forget all the Independents.

Is inherent in being white. In that aspect your support of a candidate is irrelevant.

White privilege is brought into the discussion simply because as white people we are inherently safer in making certain decisions as they are less likely to negatively impact us.

I'm just trying to help explain what it is - not hit anyone with negative labels. It doesn't mean you are wealthy or not struggling.

It's causing Sanders supporters to just dig in their heels further...the BoB movement is picking up steam, and more people are considering voting Green. Hillary has poor judgement when it comes to anticipating the consequences of her actions.

The fact is, if you don't support Hillary Clinton, you are an anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim racist sexist pig. And a raging homophobe/transphobe as well. I know, cuz David Brock's army of trolls told me so on the internet.

It's just simple Third Way Logic:

Even if you are a half African American, half Jewish transgender woman who conforms to Islam, and you don't support Hillary Clinton, you are a filthy racist, sexist et cetera, who is oozing white privilege out of every pore.

However, if you are a good 'ol wealthy white boy lifetime member of the North Carolina Klan Southern Baptist Bathroom Brigade Faithful Follower of Brother John Birch who beats his wife, have a rebel flag on the wall of your garage and you support Hillary Clinton for God, Wall St. and neoliberal values, you're immediately an integral and beloved vital part of Team Hillary.

Most especially if you're filthy rich, and give the Clinton campaign lots of cash.

Don't you get it?1!11?)

In any event, can't get past Hillary being happily on board for war and fracking and the TPP and cluster bombs. And other hateful things. My gender and race are irrelevant, and people who try to guilt trip me into supporting a Third Way Hawk are delusional at best.

People who post silly statements like these are not informed and don't get the big picture. I am a 76 year old white woman who has always voted Democrat. I was thrilled when Obama ran and voted for him both times. I find it hard to forgive Hillary for voting to go into Iraq, but as much as I like Bernie, I don't think he can win, so I am voted for Hillary in the Texas primary and will vote for her in Nov.

You cannot paint people into boxes by what you think they believe, by doing this this you are showing yourself to be as narrow minded as your claim other people are..

This set of tactics <the demonizing, the mocking, the falsely attributing, the diminishing> is part of a strategy to demonize liberals, excuse not acknowledging liberal input, and having liberals leave the Democratic Party to a neo-liberal fate.

101. Three things...
Sat Apr 30, 2016, 03:36 AM
Apr 2016

1. It is not new, it was basically the entire HRC platform from December on.

2. Muslims support Bernie no Hillary, because they fear Hillary's military stance will cause more death in the middle east.

2. Hillary started the racist attacks against Obama that plagued his entire career and gave rise to Trump, and she has also started attacks on Bernie not being a real Jew, so in both campaigns she has singled out the minority status of her opponent and used racism to attack them.

Half of my family is black, most of my friends are also mixed or in mixed relationships. None of them support Hillary. The only Hillary supporters I have meet up here have been older richer white women, but nation wide it is older and richer that make up her core demographic. Some groups support her more than others, but age and pay are the biggest factor (also maybe read something income security). One of the more interesting things is that nationally men are more like 50/50 in supporting a white woman, but women are like 60/40 in supporting a Jewish male...these sex and race-baiters should look in the mirror.

Sat Apr 30, 2016, 08:30 PM

However, if you don't support the Democratic nominee...and we get Trump...kiss the courts goodbye, woman's right to choose, Medicaid, medicare, social security, Obamacare, fair elections, embrace concentration camps for Muslims and undocumented folks, gays and trans jailed possibly killed, embrace a Christian theocracy shoved down our throats by the courts...these are the things at stake. So people look at those who say they are progressive and support Bernie but appear willing to allow such things to happen and try to figure out how and why these people could do it. The Republicans would have all three branches of government...oh and sure in 20 or 30 years when enough justices were gone...maybe we could do something...but unlikely. You want a revolution...keep the GOP out. And if you are OK with Trump being elected regardless of your personal feeling, I don't see how you can call yourself liberal or progressive.
