I do check his site multiple times a day, just to make sure that electoral vote projection is holding strong.

It worries me that Nate keeps walking back from his prediction, though.

He keeps saying stuff like what if the polls are biased, and hey, we know they are oversampling Democrats.

He even said this week that he was kept awake at night, since he's betting the farm on the polls being right. And yet, we all really know they are biased against Romney.

he has said nothing he has seen shows any evidence that they are biased.

And pollsters know how to detect bias. So I have trouble this year is different than any other.

I'm still laughing and I bet more than a handful of us have been thinking the same thing! He's like Valium to me. I can't watch the election on the 6th....I think I'd throw up. It's just more than I can handle so I'm waiting till the day after to turn on the computer.....I know....I'm a coward but I honestly think I'd have a heart attack on the 6th......I'm 65 and on my meds!!!!!

I visited Bariloche some 30 years ago. I spent my birthday there in November and ate fresh raspberries straight from the bush. My idea of heaven.

Welcome to DU!

Hello Paka and thanks for welcoming me here. Its a wonderful community....I moved to Bariloche a few years ago to retire as Im alone and female so retirement in the U.S. is almost impossible financially. I had a small cabin built on the Peninsula San Pedro (gorgeous near the Hotel Llao Llao). It is one of the most beautiful places on earth and that's why I moved there and got residency. A secondary reason was to get health care as its pretty much free. At least I was able to get very good medical care till I was old enough for Medicare (which may be in jeopardy). I loved the wildlife as many species I had never seen....many of which just crossed my property to climb a mountain.....the Peninsula is very agricultural and not many people there...it's about 12 miles from Central Bariloche.......alas I came back here as I couldn't tolerate the corruption in Argentina.....the entire country is corrupt from its President down to the taxi driver. I had many people steal from me by cheating me and it broke my heart because I loved it there otherwise. I came to not be sure why someone wanted to be a friend....because they liked me? or because I might be rich and useful to them....the reason in most cases......trust me I'm not rich...just trying to survive.........I sold my cabin but the bank has refused to release my funds....Im sure theres a banker that wants some new cars blah blah blah.........bankers are the same everywhere I think.....corrupt piles of scum....

So...here I am again.....struggling but in a beautiful part of California in the forest.....its good to be here too.......

Thanks so much for writing and I hope you survive this election in one piece and sanity intact!
