Dick Morris is advising Donald Trump, he said in an interview published Monday, revealing to the Daily Caller that hes been peppering the Manhattan billionaire with advice on a daily basis.
Morris said he sends several memos per day to Trump campaign staff members, but is not planning to join the campaign in any official capacity.
Im not and I never have been looking for a full-time job, 9-5, advising the campaign, Morris said. Yes, I am interested and I do send them a lot of memos and a lot of ideas and in fact wrote a book for them filled with advice as to what they should do.
That advice, Morris said, is to attack Hillary Clinton and the Democrats on the Affordable Care Act, immigration and terrorism, a strategy the longtime political consultant likens to a right jab. That jab must be accompanied though, Morris said, with a left hook appealing to disaffected Democrats who supported Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and are unsatisfied with globalism and the Democratic Party establishment.

Well, that just did it. Democrats have it in the bag, Trump will lose. Morris hasn't been right about anything since he was caught sucking on a hooker's toes.

(30,247 posts)The most reputable people don't want to work for his campaign. Trump has been culling the bottom of the barrel. He's been consulting with RW anti-Clinton hacks, they are the source of his most salacious attacks against the Clintons. Some weeks ago he had lunch with Ed Klein. He is the person who in 2005 wrote an anti-Hillary book. In it he wrote that Chelsea was the product of rape. That Bill had forced himself on Hillary. The accusation was so repugnant that even the RW punditry criticized him for making such a sick allegation. No surprise that he would consult with Trump, who now writes for the National Enquirer.

(21,998 posts)You wrote, "Morris hasn't been right about anything since he was caught sucking on a hooker's toes."
Are you suggesting that Dick Morris was right to be "caught sucking on a hooker's toes?"
(2 winks, if you know what I mean!)

(30,247 posts)He had a legitimate career and people took him seriously. He lost his job and his reputation when the Globe published the article about his dalliances with hookers.
Since then he's had many incarnations, but the one steady thing has been his anti-Clinton sentiment.

(21,998 posts)However, even when he worked for former President Clinton, Dick Morris was, well, a dick. He tended to be a publicity hound blowhard who constantly made over-the-top statements. It's actually one of the reasons, I think, that President Clinton liked him; he was a foil. Of course, now he's a Fox News robot and a general jerk.
My repost to you was just a slightly sarcastic comment for which I hope you'll forgive me. When you said that he hadn't done anything right since he was sucking the hooker's toes, I was snidely hinting that you implied that Mr. Morris' last acceptable act was sucking the hooker's toes. Ergo, since then, everything he did was wrong.
PS - I knew what you meant and I'm proud to stand with you as a member of DU.
PPS - Dick Morris is a dick.
Enjoy your evening!

Oh, I understood the meaning of your previous post.

(85 posts)Now he's obviously showing himself to be just another Republican like all of them are. Libertarians like to flaunt this guy's "legal knowledge" all the time. And they seem to not be into Trump all that much, instead going for loser Gary Johnson. I so want to throw this story in the face of my loud libertarian facebook friends, but I won't.

(27,787 posts)... is this sentence ...
How exactly does Dick Morris send "memos" to Trump staff?
What person, in this century, sends "memos" to anyone.
Email, texts, tweets ... but "memos"??

(5,969 posts)So is he the reason why Trump is claiming that the polls showing him down much have too many Democrats (you couldn't make this up)? We all remember his great comedy routine of "analysing" polls and predicting a huge Romney landslide. Him and the unskewed polls guy offered great entertainment.

(30,247 posts)He's a case book narcissist. He's running for office because he thinks that no one can do a better job than him, despite having zero political experience. I think that he loves the idea of being president, more than the actual work that the job entails.
