Potential Trump VP: Clinton blamed white people for last week's shootings

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, rumored to be on the list of potential running mates for Donald Trump, on Sunday called Hillary Clinton's response to last week's shootings "irresponsible."

"I think her speech a couple of nights ago was totally irresponsible," Flynn said in an interview aired on ABC's "This Week."

"When she talked about white people being to blame, I mean that is so irresponsible. What we have to look at is a speech that is positive, that's forward looking and demonstrates an intellectual courage, that doesn't try to attack an ideology one way or the other."

Following the officer-involved shootings of two black men in Minnesota and Louisiana and the shooting deaths of five Dallas police officers, Clinton said white people need to walk in the shoes of African-Americans.
