Looks like Hillary is vetting John Hickenlooper of Colorado..

For VP but he opposed marijuana and it's the right thing to do. Colorado is doing more than great and we here in Oregon are working it out fine. Less crime and less police work.

Gov. John Hickenlooper reveals secrets in book that puts him in national spotlight “Opposite of Woe: My Life in Beer and Politics”

...given the candor in the book, Hickenlooper said, “you’d have to say this wasn’t designed to put me in a presidential or vice-presidential light.”

“We are trying to be honest,” he added. “That is what we are trying to do, and we are trying not to worry about” the political future.

Since he was young. He said the marijuana legalization in CO was reckless. It's now doing very well. More money, less crime, less police work. All over well.

But the governor’s views have softened. During a recent panel discussion at the Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles, he said that despite opposing the legalization of pot, his job was to “deliver on the will of the people of Colorado.”

“If I had that magic wand now, I don’t know if I would wave it,” he said. “It’s beginning to look like it might work.”

It was the latest in a series of comments Hickenlooper has made signaling what looks like an evolution of his views on marijuana. In April last year, during an interview with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo, Hickenlooper said legal weed was “not as vexing as we thought it was going to be.”

And he was wrong about the legalization in Colorado, the specific problems he predicted simply did not exist, the benefits have been so major he could no longer deny them.
I get sick of politicians who have been entirely wrong about everything being given more opportunities to be wrong about larger and more important things. Changing your mind once the results are in is not really impressive. LGBT equality is the same thing, those who yammered against us for years suddenly 'change their minds' and we are supposed to forget their years of aggressive denigration and reward them with high office and large sums of money.

I offer that people who support good change from the start are innovative, those who support a pile of tax money once it is on the table are not innovative. They are just reactive.

Hickenlooper is an actual business person unlike Mister Build - File Bankruptcy - Build - Bankruptcy - Rinse and Repeat. He's the Governor of a Swing State. The guy is very sharp and would be an excellent choice.

Those mentioning his anti-marijuana stance need to know he's warmed up to it. Especially after he saw the revenue Colorado was receiving from it.

Hillary - Hickenlooper.

In all his years as mayor of Denver and then as Gov, he has remained very low key. Good for Colorado as he is an environmentalist, but not enough gas in the tank for the national stage - IMHO

“The governor has called this a grand experiment from the beginning. He looks at data points as he goes along and I think he’s pleasantly surprised that there were not as many challenges as he thought,” Freedman said.

“He would say the jury is still out on this experiment but he’s optimistic.”

Some are less circumspect.

“The state’s image is actually rising. We were just ranked as the best place to live in America,” Tvert said. “The idea that businesses would not relocate here or conferences wouldn’t be held here was untrue. In fact, attendees at conferences are now offered pot tours as day trips.”

My military last station and my degrees are from Colorado. Love that beautiful awesome State!
