And it continues !
Donald Trumps campaign chairman on Monday said that Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who is scheduled to be in Cleveland during the Republican National Convention but wont necessarily attend the convention itself, is embarrassing the state with his actions.
Hes making a big mistake, Mr. Manafort said of Mr. Kasich on MSNBCs Morning Joe. Hes looking at something thats not going to happen, hes hurting his state hes embarrassing [the] state, frankly.
Mr. Kasichs team put out a list of events the governor plans to attend in and around Cleveland this week that includes events with the Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire delegations. But the former 2016 GOP presidential contender has still refused to endorse Mr. Trump.
But most of the Republicans who arent coming are people who have been part of the past, Mr. Manafort said. People who are part of the future of the Republican party are frankly going to be here participating in the program.
What were trying to accomplish is not to have a heavily laden program of politicians, but the goal of this convention for Donald Trump is to show the rest of the story of who Donald Trump is, he said.

(7,719 posts)Manafort is just a paid shill who will say anything for buck. Why else would any sane human being back Trump? The man is a pathetic pathological liar and narcissist......which makes him a perfect candidate to be a politician...by today's standards.

(68,667 posts)who is no moderate by the way. He is a complete jerk. That being said, I don't blame him for wanting no part of Trump...when a candidate can't meet the standards of a secret hard right guy like Kasich, he is doomed. I live in Ohio and will not be going to Cleveland...hey GOP treat or city right...we have worked hard to make it nice.

(19,970 posts)Hillary-Trump gap, and the recriminations will start before Election Day itself. Sometimes one is afraid to recognise what is before our eyes, for fear something will go wrong, but the Clinton campaign is clearly vastly superior to Trump, and Manafort proves here, as campaign manager, that he can't even keep it together himself. I fully believe that the groundwork the Clinton Campaign has done in portraying Trump as a virtual sideshow, will bear massive fruit when the real fight begins in September.
