OK - lets be clear on what Bernie is doing

Bernie's supporters at the convention are WILDLY unstable and unpredictable..

Bernie has worked VERY hard to try to massage them to get them under control.

His speech last night, he literally fought physically as he worked to get them tuned up enough for him to endorse Hillary wo them acting like lunatics.

He HAD to let them vote today, it would be an out and shitfest if he didn't.

He knows that, Hillary knows that, BHO knows.

The only dolt who might not have known it thankfully resigned 24 hours ago.

And, I thought it was a REALLY bad idea when it floated out that he might be the person who did the nomination of Hillary.

The last moment with him speaking in the convention we have is him SUCCESSFULLY endorsing hillary without them acting like idiots.

All his doing the nomination vote today would do is allow a moment for them to act like jackasses in front of the main cameras again, which the media would circle jerk on endlessly moving forward.

Bernie, with Hillary's knowledge is working hard to walk that tightrope to manage his delegates through this.

Based on my discussions with some of the Bernie delegates, not doing the roll call vote or short-circuiting it would be a terrible idea and would not help Hillary at all. This is different from 2008, when Hillary's delegates were mostly party insiders/big donors who had a stake in going with the winner.

I kind of like the idea of Bernie nominating Hillary, but I could see it potentially backfiring.

having seen Sanders behavior the last couple of days.

Just like among his supporters, there are fanatics among Clinton's who will perceive every single act as disrespect.

And if its true that all of his Vermont delegates are going to be given to Clinton, well, that just makes it that much extra special.

giving his supporters recognition and giving him recognition while also celebrating the nominee. classy move by the nominee and her primary opponent.

I put these people at no more than 5% of Bernie delegates. The majority of Bernie delegates, including the ones from my state of Illinois have pledged to vote for and vigorously support the Clinton/Kaine ticket. There is no other option.

Maybe we should stop giving these selfish people what they seem to want so much -- attention.

The individuals who fail to support the Democratic ticket never truly believed in Bernie's vision. If they did, they would know that this is only the beginning.

Day 1 is behind us. If there continue to be interruptions, those individuals need to have their credentials revoked and be shown the door.
