...to endorse Hillary Clinton all by themselves. Tell that to your friend. And do a modest bit of googling to see who they are.

However, we have the First Amendment, and as such them dudes are free to expound on how any sentient life form on this planet would be nuts not to support Hillary over Trump, as much as they need to.

I actually feel really sure they have been reached out to. Nothing given in return, just a request to help keep Trump from getting into the White House. And very sincere thank-yous for their endorsements would follow.

On the left, it would raise too many of the same old questions about the authenticity of her liberalism. I'm no fan of Bernie but I'd much rather have his supporters on her side. Enough with bending over backgrounds to please the GOP!

That said, if Romney or Kasich or - GASP - a Bush endorsed her, she ought to gracefully acknowledge it and let them work quietly work behind the scene to deliver states. It would be pretty sweet if Utah went for Clinton and devastating to Trump if she won Ohio with Kasich's support.

All is fair in politics. IF it means she gets a few more votes, fine.

Of course that will also mean she has to listen to their concerns and will certainly pay more attention to their concerns than any BoB dead ender, but that's how politics works.

Kasich - No.
Romney - Yes.

Kasich is a sitting governor and an extremist right-winger. He hates Trump, but that is really all he's got. And he will surely run for president again, no reason to legitimize him and bring him up to her level.

Romney was last elected in 2002, and held office from 2003-2007. He was much more moderate, as he had to be in Massachusetts, and while he went hard right in the 2012 election, he is much more palatable. Getting the endorsement of the Republican nominee from the previous convention would be a massive coup. And Utah would come into play big time. I wouldn't do it publicly, but sending out feelers wouldn't be a bad idea.
