2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumFox News is a GOP Propaganda Unit admitted by an employe
As she was promoted through the ranks at Fox, Luhn worked harder and harder to please Ailes. She zealously promoted the networks right-wing agenda. I was very proud of the product. I was very proud of how we handled 9/11. Very proud of how we handled the run-up to the Iraq War, she said. My job was to sell the war. I needed to get people on the air that were attractive and articulate and could convey the importance of this campaign. It was a drumbeat.
Report: Ex-Fox News Staffer Says She Was Sexually Harassed And 'Psychologically Tortured' By Roger Ailes for More Than 20 Years

This paragraph from this article confirms FOX news is not about reporting the news accurately. FOX News is about promoting an idea or concept about news events. Propaganda.

(4,447 posts)No matter who they are, no matter where they work, no matter who they work for. But I have such a hard time feeling sorry for anyone involved with Fox News who has undergone anything at the hands of Roger Ailes because they were most likely very important to Fox News. I know I should feel bad for them because it is the right thing, I think. But for me it's the emotional equivalent of eating something healthy that I really hate.

(12,389 posts)He's the devil for sure, but I'm not certain if I think of her as a victim or an opportunist, and that might be the dilemma she is feeling herself. Once she was young, broke and scared, it may have seemed like the only way out, but she talks of being happy in another job not too long after which she chooses to leave to resume her "protege" work.
Either way, her head is definitely screwed up, and I hope she can help nail his balls to the wall. Real hammer and nails would be my preference, but alas, the good old days are over.

(409 posts)It's been so outright blatant since its inception that Fox News is nothing more than a mouth piece for the Republican party, that when I originally read this paragraph in the article.. it didn't even stand out to me. That's pretty sad now that I think about it.
