Sorry if someone else has already posted this, but I thought it was fascinating stuff. Shows how disorganized the Romney campaign was:

(16,350 posts)I don't believe it cost them the election. Romney was a horrible candidate and the only thing going for him was being white. But this fuckup sure didn't help.

(168 posts)I just thought it was too cool that the guy who was for small government managed everything centrally from his headquarters in Boston, and failed miserably at it! I can't tell you how glad I am he didn't get elected! What would he have done to this country? It would have been horrible.

(36 posts)and unlike this story, the Obama campaign gave us the list of registered democrats that we'd be using on the previous day. None only that, someone from their office came to our house late on Nov 5 and gave us the poll watchers' certificates that we would need to enter the polling location!

(4 posts)I was a poll worker in FL and had a Republican poll watcher from Orca. She just stood around all day (she didn't bring a chair but there were plenty available), occasionally looked at the registers, and checked some names off the list. She couldn't approach the table while there were voters present so she really didn't have much time to examine the registers as it was very busy all day. She did, however have her credentials and was pre-registered to be at the site. Incidentally, we had 2 Republican poll watchers and no Democratic poll watchers.
