Nobody else did. Trump fluffed the performance, was unprepared, and was exceedingly rude and disruptive. His constant interruptions, failure to say anything of substance and his blustering demeanor proved, once again that he is unqualified for the office he seeks.

Hillary Clinton demolished him. The media won't say so clearly, but they know it, too. Trump didn't do "bigly" at all.

1. Of course. He did nothing to diminish his commitment to...

...racism and misogyny. In fact, he doubled down on it. The only part of his base who "might" be disappointed are the die-hard homophobes who only got a glancing reference as he took a swing at Rosie.

For them, he's still the candidate of choice.

Now for those of us who aren't seeking a racist, misogynistic, homophobic leader as our #1 criteria - well, we noticed that he got his ass handed to him.

3. Remember back in high school? All those people following

the mean kids around? You know, the "popular" kids. Same thing is going on here. Same people, actually. Meanwhile, the rest of us were busy trying to learn something, make a few friends and get on with our lives.

Donald Trump was one of those "mean" kids. He never grew up, just like his followers never grew up.

Now that we're all adults, we can win this. We don't have to accept the mean kids anymore.

4. Nothing will change the die-hards' minds.

I think, fundamentally, that they hate women and Hillary reminds them of their controlling mother or mothers-in-law. I saw one tweet (can't remember who, now) that basically said that.

Now, I'm sure there is more to it than that, but at heart a lot of conservative men hate women. Fortunately for the rest of us, they are no longer so numerous as to control outcomes. Hillary will win every other group.

We need to ignore them altogether and focus on getting the votes of everyone else. Let Trump fans shed their bitter tears on November 9. That's my plan.

Even Tweety, who often seems impressed by Trump's "connection" with voters, says she shut him out. And when surrogates spend the day telling everyone that he didn't too bad, you know that candidate got their ass handed to them.

Same behavior we have seen for months. The only people who liked his performance last night are similarly developmentally arrested fools.
