Does the GOP expect Trump to be impeached?

With the litigation regarding Trump University, A rape case (coming this fall), and the fact that it's starting to look like the reason he paid no income taxes is because he used his foundation to receive money and then use it for personal use (illegal). The GOP have to know all this, and thus (here's my theory) - they're backing Trump KNOWING that he'll (if elected) will eventually be impeached, and Mike Pence will be the President.

Can this be the underlying reason why they're backing him?

At least the thinking Republicans.
They're just getting in all the shots they can
to protect downballot and try to gain
some kind of leverage for themselves
over the next eight years.

Some of the GOP are ignorant and expect great things from t'Rump.
Another part expects they can control him in office, but will work to impeach him if he doesn't mind his handlers.
I'm sure there is a relatively small group already gathering evidence.

I think this is why he has so many supporters. I do believe it comes down to the supreme court, period

He should have picked someone equally unacceptable to the Republican establishment. They would knife him in the back at the first moment he gave them sufficient case. Fortunately, I think the issue is moot.

He isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. If elected, he better watch his back.

... in order to help secure future GOP primary wins.

Trump won the GOP Presidential primary, after all. There's clearly a large number of kooks who vote in that party.

Who would be worse as president? Trump or Pence?

IMO, Trump is a loose cannon, whereas Pence will just carry on the GOP destruction of America. Trump, with his thin skin, could get us into wars (with nukes) - why have them if we can't use them?

Either way - this can't happen.

I expect this to happen on the way-off chance the GOP steals the election.

They'll impeach Trump, install Pence and blame Obama.
