(47,209 posts)Pressure on women to downplay sexism and Trump has brought them to a boiling point. The world is going to see us rise this year!

(20,136 posts)Hillary set the trap last night bringing Alicia up and Drumpf took the bait hook, line, and sinker...just as she knew he would.

(36,437 posts)But when you have Trump on Fox and Friends calling her awful, it just looks like she is defending herself. It looked like even that half-witted imbecile Brian Kilmeade could see the trap unfolding under Trump's feet. His face was all "Oh shit, is this woman still alive, because if she is...FUUUUUUCK."

(20,136 posts)Did you notice how quickly he forgot about the email crap as soon as she goaded him by saying he's not releasing his tax returns because "maybe he's not as rich as he claims"?

(7,570 posts)The entire night, all I could think about is that there is a good chance that this obvious out-of-his-depth maniac might be our new President. And by "good chance", I mean greater than zero. Because it's horrifying that he has any support from anyone who professes to love this country.
He is a man-baby. He has tiny hands and a tiny mind. He has no understanding of any issue that affects any other American other than himself. Like a little child, he blames everyone and everything afterwards for the disaster he, himself, has wrought. Like a toddler in a glass shop, he just keeps picking things up and dropping them on the floor, smashing and breaking them, and no one calls him out for it.

(6,364 posts)Instead of having someone say "here's what he did to someone else", it is much stronger to hear someone say "here's what he did to me".
He's getting confused because he thinks he's right on the weight change and he believes, at some level, that if he can just convince people that she really did gain weight...they'll agree with him that Ms. Piggy was an appropriate term.
Same with his comment about Rosie - he said something like "...and I think most people would agree with me" when defending his comments about her.
WTF is wrong with him and the group of people he surrounds himself with. Gaining or not gaining weight isn't the issue. It's the name calling.
Ms. M could end up being one of her strongest surrogates.

(59,504 posts)It is extremely disgusting when you see this gorgeous, friendly looking 19 year old, working for the Miss Universe company having had what had to be a dream win of the title- in a foreign country, where everyone speaks a foreign language and the boorish head of the company is calling her hurtful names and insulting her. Then he didn't pay her the money she was owed.
When you look past the obvious poise and beauty of this young girl, you see a very vulnerable person, who may have not had a strong support network with her as she traveled as Miss Universe.
I would say that even in what had to be the embarrassing time when he forced her to work out in front of the media, she looks fantastically beautiful. How much better it would have been had they just finished the year with this lovely girl fulfilling her duties .. and getting paid for them.
