I was student teaching that fall, and the principal warned that the boys would be upset if the girls acted superior after the King win. We were all told to avoid the subject in the classroom.

Of course, those were the days before we could even wear pantsuits. Then, when we finally could wear them, the jacket had to cover the crotch. I kid you not.
