...sorry if that sounds superficial. Often C-span broadcasts R and D press conferences one after the other and a few times there's been such an enthusiasm gap I've wondered if the Rs got to pick our leaders for just such an effect!

Seeking someone with a confident self-assured presence.

But Pelosi is fine. They say she'll be stepping down during this term though.

I think we're got leadership that doesn't budge in the face of the wind. I think Durbin will eventually succeed Reid and that's okay, but I don't trust Steny Hoyer not to make bad deals with the bastards. I'm not sure there's anyone in the House with the gusto to replace Pelosi.

I think we need to "freshen" up the democratic congressional leadership. Nancy has become a lightening rod for negativity as seen by the 2010 and 2012 election ads. Nancy really did pull through with the stimulus act and the ACA (ObamaCare) ...hmmm, now im second guessing myself. If another potentional candidate comes along that seems attractive I'd have to side with them.

She was "a lightning rod for Republican attacks". ANY effective Democrat becomes a lightning rod for Republican attacks.

Its always healthy to freshen things up after a while. Don't understand why some people are so resistant to change.

I have nothing against Pelosi. Personally I don't like Reid very much. There are plenty of talented people who could lead either body.
