The government creates the kinds of jobs that are not profit driven. And Halliburton and the Prison-Industrial-Complex have shown us clearly that letting the private sector get involved in what was formerly the government's job just leads to cronyism and profiteering of the worst kind.

I know that when people talk about cutting out government, they are talking about Washington bureaucracies. YES, those need to be addressed. But there is a lot that the government pays for that we need, and shouldn't be cut.

I figure this didn't get any discussion because it's obvious.

...but depending on the audience, they often turn out not to be so. Listen to the average Reep, and you'll see that this concept is not in the least obvious to them.
