WSJ: Kelley Tried To Stop FBI Investigation

DAVID TAINTOR 7:15 AM EST, WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 14, 2012

Jill Kelley, the Florida woman who sparked an investigation that led to the discovery of David Petraeus' affair, tried to stop the FBI investigation over the summer, the Wall Street Journal reports.

On Tuesday, people familiar with the case said that at one point in the summer, after the investigation began pointing to larger potential national security issues, Ms. Kelley tried to get the FBI to drop the matter. The people said she made the request because she was worried about the personal information being provided to investigators.

Ms. Kelley, a 37-year-old volunteer who organized social events for military personnel, developed misgivings after friends in her Tampa social circle urged her to drop the matter, saying the probe would only cause bigger problems, the people familiar with the case said.

Kelley is in hock to the gills evidentally. I wouldn't doubt she orchestrated this mess for the infamy and book rights down the line.

Whatever the Kelleys (and I do think this was a joint or community decision) wanted out of all this (and really is a "stay away from my man" e-mail all that harassing in the absence of further threats?), they failed to consider just how much dirt would end up coming out in the wash.

This seems to be ramping up to become a bigger scandal than anticipated. Seems quite possibly this is about much more than sex and "phone-sex-like" emails.

... then I think she thought more might get divulged than she might want... as in personal shit she doesn't want the world to see, and thought better of it... tried to stop the horses from running out of the barn she just left the door open in.

Dollars to doughnuts she's a republicrat and so are her *contacts* within the FBI.

Our country is supposed to the be standard barer of truth, honesty, transparency, justice and equality. The republicrat party is showing the opposite of every one of those qualities to the world by lying, being dishonest in just about everything they do and say, trying to manufacture evidence for political gain and showing just how intolerant those that are different from them really are.

The republican party just needs to go away. We'll all be better off for it.
