It's the "GOP Cliff"

Robert Reich:

“I think we are moving in the right direction and we are moving in the right direction because the Democrats are holding most of the trump cards,” he said. “If nothing is done, remember, we go back to the Clinton tax rates of the 1990s, which were not all that bad, in fact the economy did quite well under those tax rates. If nothing is done, basically the Republicans lose.”

“And, if the Republicans try to make a case that they are not going to vote for an extension of middle class tax cuts unless the rich also get a tax cut that puts the Republicans in the position of showing America that they are going to hold the middle hostage and they sure are shills for the very rich — something that a lot of people suspect anyway, but that kind of demonstration is not going to be good for the GOP,” Reich added.

We only need <20 GOP house members to vote after Jan 2nd. Might as well find 20 that are easy target and start pestering them now with a dem plan.

So we need to cross our fingers they Do Nothing.

If democrats cave AGAIN this is yet more proof that democrats are more wholly owned by the same masters as repubs than we originally thought.

We've seen thsi game played before. Democrats play good cop. Repubs play bad cop. And in the end demorats give 80-100% what repubs want. So i will cross my fingers but i wont be surprised if the strike a deal that fucks middle-class

is getting old. Duh,it's the 1%ers who are pushing this farce. There are a couple of blue dogs who are on their way out the door that want lobbing jobs at major companies and this is their payback or paycheck. Hey,it will cost us a couple hundred a year, but,it's worth it just to see the Repukes fall on their damn swords.

It's Amazing how murky waters will settle and clear if you just wait a little bit.

Something tells me the Prez is getting ready to go down in history as the first sane megagenius to ever run a super power.

Let the Pukes twist and in January propose a modest LOWER CLASS tax break, Middle Class deduction reform (to make them MORE attainable for education, retirement or medical expenses including child and dependent care) and Upper Class tax hikes.

The neo-cons couldn't wait to get to war ans start the "shock and awe"....well, here you go guys, its time to pay the tab and you're buying!

in the middle class. The Alternative Minimum Tax thingie, for one. This stupid, non-indexed law will consider millions of people who are now, just barely "middle class" as over-assetted and slap them with a much higher tax rate.
