Well, we can return Donald the courtesy: there’s something going on with Trump, Putin, Russia, WikLeaks, the DNC/Clinton hack/reveal, and the 2016 election, up to an including the possibility of some kind of secret deal between Putin and Trump or between some of their people, though Putin acting without coordination with Trump’s campaign—trying to undermine America and weaken America’s global standing and its position with its allies, most notably NATO allies—is also very much a possibility; so is some sort of combination of these.

4. The alt right has joined Putin and his army of Russian trolls. Trump is following

Bannon. They bullied Comey on all sides. Trump has been pulling down the shared human fictions that make a democracy run smoothly. And many people are falling into line including the Republican establishment. And undoing their norms of behaviour. And not following their human big picture: be that religion or humanism or maturity or science and nature, interconnectedness in some way. But instead the siren call of strongman like Putin who replace the human big picture with worship of belonging to a strongman. Trump but really Bannon. Strength but really destruction. Freedom, but really the slavery living in brutal times long past again.
