Indiana skips Amendment 38, goes straight for 39.. but has a disgusting undertone.

The Indiana State constitution Article 1 has 37 Amendments currently with the 37th being it's prohibition of slavery. Other amendments are "Right of Assemblage", "Debt imprisonment exemption" and the like. So what similar taxing issue is so pressing the Indiana citizens that we must amend it's constitution to protect them!

Hunting.

The ballot question:
"Shall the Constitution of the State of Indiana be amended by adding a Section 39 to Article 1 to provide that the right to hunt, fish and harvest wildlife shall be forever preserved for the public good, subject only to the laws prescribed by the General Assembly and rules prescribed by virtue of the authority of the General Assembly to: promote wildlife conservation and management; and preserve the future of hunting and fishing?"

The actual amendment:
Section 39.
(a) The right to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife:

(1) is a valued part of Indiana's heritage; and
(2) shall be forever preserved for the public good.
(b) The people have a right, which includes the right to use traditional methods, to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife, subject only to the laws prescribed by the General Assembly and rules prescribed by virtue of the authority of the General Assembly to:

(1) promote wildlife conservation and management; and
(2) preserve the future of hunting and fishing.
(c) Hunting and fishing shall be a preferred means of managing and controlling wildlife.
(d) This section shall not be construed to limit the application of any provision of law relating to trespass or property rights.[3]

First, take note that they are skipping Section 38 and going straight to section 39 because we apparently want to show off our inability to count.

Second, note the bold section. Now if the State wants to manage, move, or control wildlife FENCING is NOT an option. TRAPPING them alive is NOT an option. Herding is not an option.
