Along with my yard signs, I'll be flying the American Flag

on election day. It goes up for every election and every national holiday.

From my signs, it's clear that I'm a Democratic voter, and the flag is there to show that it's not the property of the right wing in this country.

I recommend this practice for all Democrats. If you have a flag, display it on election day, please.

As an aside, election day should be a national holiday, I believe.

If I may, I'd like to post a couple tips

If you are leaving the flag raised over night, it needs to be illuminated well enough to be easily seen/recognized

If the flag is faded or tattered it should be replaced. The old flag can be given to a local Boy Scout or Girl Scout troop as well as any Veteran's service organization such as the VFW or American Legion for disposal.
