In this case, an addiction to food. Eating too much, makes anyone fat and unhealthy. No one need's a medical degree to know that. So, he is at risk to die in office. The guy need's help, just like anyone who has a habit that has power over one's life..

the doctor has never treated him and shouldn't be speculating on his health using her position as a physician to do so.

Anyone can look at Christie and pretty much tell that his weight is going to be causing him health issues in one form or another but when it's reported that a physician is saying that his weight is a problem it can imply a diagnosis and that is a no no.

The doctor doesn't know the specifics of his health issues. I don't either. But, he very likely has health issues. I have health issues and now I am on a somewhat strict regimen to combat those issues. But, no one really knows his health history besides him and his doctor. Should Christie do something about those issues, probably. But, whatever he does should be done to improve his health regardless of whether he loses a lot of weight or not.

BMI now is old hat. It's WHR now. You better watch out for that one. Self-insured public school district I USED to work for, as part of their new "health program" required all employees to have their waist and hips measured. They said that BMI was not accurate enough. Apple shape is bad and Pear shape is good. How about CELERY shape? They told a 4' 11", 90 lb. woman with a 25 inch waist and 32 inch hips that she was Apple shaped, carried her FAT (????) around the middle and was at risk of a HEAT ATTACK because of that. How can you tell a 90 lb. woman she needed to lose weight? That would be insane for even these morons. They told her she needed to go to a GYM to reduce her waist measurment, at her own expense, or her premiums would go up because of her "increased risk". Hello, SCARLET O'HARA with a 22 inch waist!!!!! Excuse me, but anyone who weighs 100 lbs or less is not at risk of a heart attack for carrying their FAT ANYWHERE on their body.

Insurance, and doctors, are looking for every excuse they can to make $$$$$$.
