Joe Scarborough Excoriates Republicans & Wayne LaPierre Op-Ed Laced w/Racial Overtones (VIDEO)

Wayne LaPierre, wrote a rather delusional op-ed titled “Stand and Fight” in The Daily Caller. The piece reads like a text for an infomercial to sell guns and NRA memberships. It is no different than the scam revealed in The Right Wing Scam Legally Stealing From Their Followers And America that uses fear to part Americans from their hard earned dollars.

Mr. LaPierre starts his implied racist barrage with:

Latin American drug gangs have invaded every city of significant size in the United States. Phoenix is already one of the kidnapping capitals of the world, and though the states on the U.S./Mexico border may be the first places in the nation to suffer from cartel violence, by no means are they the last.

Mr. LaPierre is simply wrong. Overall crime is down on the border.

After Hurricane Sandy, we saw the hellish world that the gun prohibitionists see as their utopia. Looters ran wild in south Brooklyn. There was no food, water or electricity. And if you wanted to walk several miles to get supplies, you better get back before dark, or you might not get home at all.

Unfortunately for LaPierre, facts are not on his side as today New York Representative Joe Crowley stated on MSNBC Martin Bashir, that the best of New York came out during Sandy. He said people were never out of control and that they were mostly helping each other. He further stated that the ridicule from Mr. LaPierre is degrading of the average New Yorkers and all Americans must be outraged at his comments.

Martin Bashir then went on to read the crime facts during Hurricane Sandy; 86% decline in murders, 30% decline in robberies, 48% decline in grand larceny, 24% decline in car thefts, and 30% decline in felony assaults. Joy Reid, an MSNBC contributor stated that New York was never the Mad Max world LaPierre was portraying, and his use of Brooklyn was to play to the worst stereotype, the place with a high presence of black and brown people. She also stated the fact that New York is the safest big city in America. She said places like New Orleans with no gun laws are much more dangerous than New York where gun laws are working,

Mr. LaPierre’ s op-ed was so out of bound that it left MSNBC Morning Joe Conservative Joe Scarborough completely flabbergasted. Scarborough not only scolded LaPierre but excoriated the Republican Party for not distancing themselves from LaPierre and his destructive statements.

This is so laced with racial overtones, that the Republican Party if they were smart, their leaders today would condemn it. But they are not smart. They are scared and you know if they keep running scared they will lose more votes. They are going to get hammered in future elections if they allow this clown to continue to lead them around by their nose. They are shameful. They need to be leaders.

Later on the Scarborough says.

Everything that Republicans are now trying to do to make up for the 27% showing in the election with Hispanics, Wayne LaPierre has undercut with this letter by talking about Latin American drug pins and talking about South Brooklyn; Again, a racially tinged very suggestive op-ed by Wayne LaPierre who Republicans are planning to follow him around.

Most of the op-ed is comprised of subliminal messages to purchase more guns

No wonder Americans are buying guns in record numbers right now, while they still can and before their choice about which firearm is right for their family is taken away forever.

and to join the NRA to ensure that “you” are protected.

Second, we must strengthen the NRA like never before. We are, and always have been, a genuine grassroots organization. And never has your membership been more important. Never has the nra been more in need of your support.

and to recruit for the NRA.

Every gun owner should be an active member of the NRA. Every gun owner should be sure that every member of his or her family is an active member.

He ends the op-ed with “his” coup de grâce.

We will not surrender. We will not appease. We will buy more guns than ever. We will use them for sport and lawful self-defense more than ever. We will grow the NRA more than ever. And we will be prouder than ever to be freedom-loving NRA patriots. And with your help, we will ensure that the Second Amendment remains America’s First Freedom.

We will Stand And Fight.

America will eventually come to the correct conclusion on what the NRA now represents, an arm of the gun industry that will use all means, even the security of the American people, to ensure they can continue to sell profitable weapons of mass killing.

On the issue of some gun control measures. He has definitely been consistent regarding his criticism towards the NRA and LaPierre.
