It's a Wonderful Day in the Neighborhood!

Today, I'm as happy as Fred Rogers singing his trademark song. And here's why:

Here in Pennsylvania, we have a new Democratic Attorney General, KATHLEEN KANE and in just her first month in office she is kicking butt and taking names like we've NEVER seen in this state. We have been ground into the dirt for the past two years by GOP Governor Tom Corbett and his Republican controlled state house and senate, so we Democrats and independents are Loop-the-Loop ecstatic over our Attorney General Kane.

In her first month in office, she has:
(1) closed a long standing loophole which allowed Pennsylvanians turned down for concealed carry permits in PA, because of dubious character or criminal background, to get permits from Florida;http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/opinion/editorials/a-loophole-closed-the-attorney-general-ends-a-gun-permit-fiasco-675459/

(2) appointed an outstanding independent investigator to look at Governor Tom Corbett's THREE YEAR delay (while HE was PA's Attorney General & planning his run for Governor, and didn't want to piss off the huge number of Penn State alumni) in investigating and prosecuting Jerry Sandusky. She appointed as investigator the man who led a widely-praised investigation for the U.S. Treasury Department into the controversial federal raid on the Branch Davidian compound;http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/local/state/former-prosecutor-to-review-pas-handling-of-sandusky-673453/

(3) blocked Governor Corbett's illegal contract to off shore/privatize Pennsylvania's outstanding state run lottery system (which benefits senior citizens) to a UK company. http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/local/state/attorney-general-kane-rejects-lottery-contract-675392/

As Fred Rogers would say, IT'S A WONDERFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD! And it's been too damn long coming!

Perhaps Kathleen Kane could run against Pat Toomey for the U.S. Senate in 2016, if she's as strong and competent as you claim she is?

The Sandusky investigation will certainly further harm Corbett's chances of getting re-elected Governor in 2014! He already has the (abundantly well-deserved!) lowest approval rating of any Governor in Pennsylvania's history.

Given that I don't live in Pennsylvania, I naturally want her in a position where she can benefit the United States as a whole...that being, with a strong, workable majority in Congress (esp. the Senate).

AG Kane is definitely working for a living. That in itself sets her apart from most politicians.

The corruption of the Hershey Foundation is of longer standing than even Sandusky's horrific exploitations.
