Michele Bachmann Crashes, Burns, and Takes The Republican Party Down With Her

Michele Bachmann Crashes, Burns, and Takes The Republican Party Down With Her

By claiming that Obamacare would literally kill people, and then calling Medicaid a ghetto, Michele Bachmann is destroying herself and the Republican Party.

-snip- (video at the link below)

Bachmann said, “That’s why we’re here because we’re saying let’s repeal this failure before it literally kills women, kills children, kills senior citizens. Let’s not do that. Let’s love people, let’s care about people. Let’s repeal it now while we can. Later, Bachmann came back to the House floor to pile on to the destruction, “Here’s the one that no American wants to be in. It’s the Medicaid ghetto,” she said. “And that’s where the lowest possible care, where very few doctors will be available available to offer this kind of care.”

Many have focused on Bachmann returning to form by saying things that are crazy, but there is a much bigger fish frying. Michele Bachmann’s latest right wing ‘episode’ has done major damage to the RNC’s efforts to fix their party. Just a few days ago, the talk was centered on the RNC’s autopsy report on how they lost the 2012 election. The discussion was centered on how Republicans could repair their party. Three days later, Michele Bachmann’s rant has firmly placed the Republican Party back on the same path that it was before.

When Michele Bachmann uncorks a rant about Obamacare, Medicaid, or Benghazi she confirms the widely held belief that the Republican Party is completely out of step with the rest of the country. Bachmann comments will get all the headlines, and she makes all Republicans look crazy.

But I fear she is operating on the same plan as ted cruz. Sure he is crazy and says batshit things. But every time he does, his electability in Texas goes up. The more that New York or Washington decries his antics, the better he is loved in his base.

If Bachman cared about the country, or about the republican party, or anything other than herself and her rich backers, it would make a difference. Too many crazy, ignorant, mean people vote.

How they managed to gerrymander that many crazy fools into one district is mind boggling. Is there something in the water?

Oh, really? If you really wanted to love people, Michele, and keep them alive, you'd be for single-payer health care.
