Biden Says ‘At Least Five Senators’ Want To Change Their Votes On Guns

Biden Says ‘At Least Five Senators’ Want To Change Their Votes On Guns

Vice President Joe Biden claimed Friday that "at least five senators" who voted opposed legislation that would have expanded background checks on gun buyers have expressed a desire to change their votes.

Biden highlighted polling data showing that senators who voted against the background checks amendment that fizzled in April have seen their approval ratings plummet at home. Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling has has led the effort to gauge the public fallout over the failed gun legislation.

“I’ve had at least five senators call me and say, ‘Can’t we do something about this?’” Biden said at the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Las Vegas, as quoted by Politico. “The calculus has changed, and so we’re in an effort to try to work out how we can provide another opportunity for those who voted no to change their vote. We all know that’s the hardest thing in politics, to change your vote. That’s why we’ve got to get a rationale, another reason why this could be done by changing the specifics of the legislation.”

That would get rid of every single solitary good gun enacted control in every state that had it, and render it useless.

NYC would become South Carolina should that happen.

So if a new vote comes, make sure that is not part of it.

as a stand alone bill without your so called poison pill, not pen, pill, amendment.
BTW, as you've been informed numerous times, a national concealed carry reciprocity would not effect NY laws on where firearms can be carried, out of state residents would still have to follow all NY state firearm laws.

Now Sen. Reid needs to bring it to the floor for a vote and get it passed and then on to the House.

this time she should forgo any AWB or mag. limit, even she has to admit it has zero chance of passing, considering the drubbing it took last time around.
