This is why President Obama will win this election.

In 2008, about a fourth of all voters were contacted in some way by the Obama campaign. Mr. McCain’s campaign contacted 18 percent of general-election voters. A FiveThirtyEight study from just after the 2008 election found that “each marginal 10-point advantage in contact rate translated into a marginal 3-point gain in the popular vote in that state.”

So guys: If you care about winning this election and want to make sure the President we elected stays in office: you know what to do. Knocking on doors, making phone calls and registering voters TRANSLATES DIRECTLY INTO ELECTORAL MARGINS OF VICTORY.

1. This is the winning attitude that I respect.

Not just a smug "He's going to trounce Romney," but a reminder that he has a better ground organization because his supporters make it so, with a call to get together and make that happen. A call to arms.

Say it loud, I’m a Democrat and I’m Proud

Democratic Party Rally Song

Say it loud: I’m a democrat and I’m proud!

Say it loud: I’m a democrat and I’m proud!

Some people say I’m a liberal because I look ahead and not behind

Because I welcome new ideas and try to be gentle and kind

Some criticize me because I have different ideology

But I’m also a loyal American, for that I make no apology

We have arguments about pro-life and pro-choice

It is my belief that every woman should have a voice

Say it loud: I’m a democrat and I’m proud!

Say it loud: I’m a democrat and I’m proud!

One more time!

Say it loud: I’m a democrat and I’m proud!

Don’t say that I’m not a Christian because I don’t do as you do

Don’t decide what is good for me and I won’t decide what is good for you

Most democrats believe in God and try to do as he commands

It is not your position to decide where we stand

I’m someone who believes we can work through the stalemate

I believe in compromise and I’m not driven by hate

Say it loud: I’m a democrat and I’m proud!

Say it loud: I’m a democrat and I’m proud!

Say it loud: I’m a democrat and I’m proud!

Say it loud: I’m a democrat and I’m proud!

Of course, I would prefer a democrat as our president

But, no matter which political party, I pray that he be heaven sent

I’m a proud democrat, loyal American, well educated and motivated

I will stand up for my beliefs and will not be intimidated

I hear many in the GOP say we need to take our country back

Well, this country belongs to me too, and that is a fact

Say it loud: I’m a democrat and I’m proud!

3. While I Agree With The Intent of Your Post, 2008 and 2012 Are Not Exactly The Same

In 2008, Obama was a challenger. In 2012, he's the incumbent. Everyone in America knows that he's running, and he reaches people on a daily basis.

Even with that said, we should continue to knock on doors.

4. Absolutely! I am proud and very lucky to live in the very BLUE state of Maryland.

However, nothing changes. We worked our asses off in Virginia and Pennsylvania and plan to do the same this time around.

Working the ground really does matter so let's not take anything for granted and let's get to work!

I wholeheartedly agree and I hope you will help me spread the word about this Democratic Party rally song.

I agree with everything I read in your thread. We each need to do everything we can to rally the Democratic Party. Here is my rally cry:
