A lengthy but revealing article explaining some of what we are up against.

This article talks about the techniques being used today in the wikileaks case. very eye opening.

clip "The Corporate Strategy to Win The War Against Grassroots Activists: Stratfor’s Strategies

Divide activists into four groups: Radicals, Idealists, Realists and Opportunists. The Opportunists are in it for themselves and can be pulled away for their own self-interest. The Realists can be convinced that transformative change is not possible and we must settle for what is possible. Idealists can be convinced they have the facts wrong and pulled to the Realist camp. Radicals, who see the system as corrupt and needing transformation, need to be isolated and discredited, using false charges to assassinate their character is a common tactic."

So if you "see the system as corrupt and needing transformation", that makes you a "radical"? bemildred Aug 2013 #5

But it is because I am a realist I know we need the radicals. Even if the radicals talk like they want to kill everyone else after they kill the rich, I know that they are the one force our enemies truly fear, and that fear beats reason with the majority of people.

Thank you for this. Several little a-ha moments in the complete read. We have been played and so it continues. Sorting out the misinformation and lies is paramount for sucess in any movement. But it is getting harder and harder, we are truly very naive in this warfare, one reason for their continued mastery of the game. A little knowledge like this though does shed a small amount of light.
Thanks again.

somewhat saddened by the small amount of coverage this is getting on DU. Would like to catch the ears of one of the big players here for more exposure.
