Suddenly, they don't want to talk about politics. These are people that would scream at me about their hatred of Obama if I left my door open.

Which is true of the vast majority of the right-wing; usually by their own admission, since they proudly hate education, reason, logic, and lucidity.

An uninformed opinion has no validity. I don't care how much those offering them insist they have a "right" to their opinions.

As long as one has a right to them, why not make them informed opinions?

Otherwise, listening to them is detrimental to the public debate.

We went to school together and we were mainly acquaintances but didn't know he was a heavy-duty teabagger type until I friended him. We've had fights about guns before but it never boiled over quite like this. Goodbye and good riddance. *ugh*

I know some OK republicans.

But I'm 53 and by and large the campaigns that republicans have run in my time seemed to appeal to peoples fears and prejudices more than Democrats. Even when republicans were actively trying to cut vital programs I didn't see democrats engaging in the type of character assassination and provoking fear the GOP has.
