The New York Times reports the climate in Washington is similar to other places around the country. Almost everyone feels frustrated with the Tea Party’s role in the government shutdown:

The Tea Party’s inexperience and overconfidence has senior Republicans rightfully concerned. The GOP can’t put the blame on President Barack Obama or Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV). Voters know exactly where the blame belongs.
