Harry Reid: Ranch standoff ‘not over’

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid weighed in on the tensions in his state between rancher Cliven Bundy and the Bureau of Land Management, saying, “It’s not over.”
“Well, it’s not over,” Reid told NBC’s Nevada affiliate KRNV on Monday. “We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it’s not over.”

Bundy gained headlines over the weekend after the BLM rounded up his cattle on federal land, citing unpaid grazing fees. The situation intensified after protesters supporting Bundy — some of whom were reportedly armed — faced off against the BLM. However, on Saturday, the BLM returned Bundy’s cattle “due to escalating tension,” according to The Associated Press.

tangential, a deflection

As if your op would make a difference. people have been riled up over the banking crisis so long they forgot about and yet no banksters have even seen the inside of a courtroom

Countless apologist have chimed in proclaiming revelations as to why BO hasn't stepped up enforcement

Matt Tabbi's new book goes into detail the huge imbalance of justice

and weekly we hear about yet another unarmed citizen being executed by law enforcement officials who have been granted impunity by the SCOTUS to murder at will

So prey tell - Who is going to do what to some how right the wrongs we see daily

5. If they're going to do something, they need to just do it.

Instead of shaking their fist and yelling "We'll be back! You haven't seen the last of us!" like some kind of stupid comic book villain. Go to the homes of everyone that was there and had a gun out and drag their sorry asses to jail. Make it clear to assholes like that that protest is fine, but if you wave a gun around at a protest and threaten violence, you don't get to have guns any more.

So your solution is that the federal government uses violence in response to violence at the Bundy Ranch? I would really prefer neither side tried to escalate the conflict.

7. Arresting lawbreaking thugs is not "violence in response to violence". It's justice.

Hopefully their wives (if any) will divorce them for the pathetic disregard they had for women, too.

Losers.

8. You think arresting people after they break laws is violence?

Pointing guns at people is illegal. Waving guns around is illegal.

Go arrest them where there's no chance of it turning into a bloodbath, charge them with the felonies as fits their crimes, and when they're convicted felons, they get to hand over ALL their guns. And with a firm "Do shit like this and you'll never own a firearm for the rest of your life." the feds will guarantee that this won't be a problem again.

Do you not think that every one of those jackasses is now on a watch list somewhere in the FBI's data archives? For fuck's sake, they all signed into a fucking Skype call to "discuss strategy".

We're talking about people that think waving guns at federal agents counts as a protest instead of violent rebellion.

I wouldn't put money on them being on a watch list, either. It's not like they were protesting banksters wiping out the economy or something.

You don't get to threaten the government with violence and then get ignored.

The far right has totally lost it. The hatred that FAUX has against the government is insidious.
