Elizabeth Warren: Obama Team 'Chose Wall Street Instead Of American Families'

WASHINGTON -- Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) discussed her relationship with President Barack Obama in an interview Monday with HuffPost Live, faulting his administration for being too close to big banks, but praising his support for Warren's brainchild, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

"I've made no secret about my disagreements with the administration's policies, particularly as they relate to the largest financial institutions," Warren told HuffPost Live. "Like I say in the book, the president chose his economic team, and when there was only so much time and so much money to go around, his economic team chose Wall Street instead of American families who were in trouble."

I sure hope Warren runs in 2016. I know she has said "no", but then again it would be counterproductive to announce so early in the game.

Now tell us something we don't know.

I'm sure that if we all vote for the only candidate MORE conservative than Obama in 2008,
everything will be just peachy.

"All of the women — Democratic women I should say — of the Senate urged Hillary Clinton to run, and I hope she does. Hillary is terrific."

but for me personally, I seek an option to the third-way corporate Democrats constantly being pushed down our throats.

Or, are you expressing hope that Elizabeth Warren will change her mind while not actually doing anything to encourage it (you don't even have a "Warren 2016" sig line!). Personally, I won't let someone pick out candidates for me (I know that's a popular refrain among the anti-Hillary crowd), so I've joined READY FOR HILLARY to express my support AND I've talked privately with Brian Schweitzer about running if Hillary doesn't/

but Bernie Sanders is also a great option for my political stripe. He has indicated that he will run in the event that no other populist-progressive enters the race. I would have no trouble casting my vote for Bernie either. I'm absolutely NOT ready for Hillary, or any other third-way DLC candidate for that matter. Brian Schweitzer is a possibility, and I am aware that he has recently been positioning himself as a Liberal alternative to Hillary, but I'd have to do some research to see if he has his Liberal bonafides, or if his candidacy would be another third-way ruse like Obama...run left, then turn around post election and govern as a corporate conservative. I'm optimistic that liberals may actually have an acceptable option in 2016.
