I don't remember. We're the polls right in their prediction?

(14,177 posts)but when they were wrong it was a Democrat win rather than a Republican won when they said a Democrat would. They seemed to give Republicans a couple extra points and took away a couple points from Democrats across the board. I wouldn't be surprised if the same pattern holds.
On a personal note, I was shocked that after 2 years of listening to Republicans spout batshitcrazy crap that they would have made themselves unelectable. Even conservatives I know were like wtf was that and they would say well the ones I vote for aren't that crazy. But, of course they are.

(26,748 posts)The polls were close in late spring, but the gap widened steadily from June into November until the generic congressional poll showed republicans with almost a double-digit lead (as high as 15% in the final Gallup poll).
This year is nothing like that.

(63,912 posts)granted. We didn't see it coming.
This year is different. The Democratic Party is determined not to let that happen again and we are getting the word out. Not as many people comfortable -- we don't want this to sneak up on us again...

(3,003 posts)...I remember a post asking if waiting for Election Day was like waiting for the results of a biopsy to come back. We did pull off a few major victories that dark night...the WV, CO, and NV Senate races. However, we NEVER should have lost PA, IL, and WI and it can all be attributed directly to Democratic voters staying home. Had we won those three races, we'd have a 58-42 majority right now and the chances of us losing control of the Senate this year would be next to zero.
GET OUT AND VOTE AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT...BECAUSE IT DOES!
