On Hillary and creating jobs

This is about what Hillary said on businesses not creating jobs. While this is absolutely true, rethugs jumped right on her about it. They obviously think that businesses create jobs. Businesses add jobs only when they must add jobs. If their current workforce meets their current orders, they aren't going to hire anybody. They will simply add any increasing profits to their bottom line.

People with jobs create jobs. When people with jobs spend their money and when they are convinced that they job they have isn't going to go away, they buy more goods, buy houses, cars, etc. It is the increased economic demand by consumers that create jobs.

When demand for their products exceeds their ability to meet those needs, that's when jobs get created!

I remember looking into NAFTA at the time, and seeing who was supporting it, lots of Republicans and some number of Democrats.

And the president. He did a lot for the economy, not so much for the middle class.

If anything, he sat back as our textile and durable goods industries disappeared, and our fuel economy standards stayed flat.

The vulgar SUV became popular during his reign because of lax regulation of "light trucks".

All of these things, and Tata, and Walmart board membership, turned me off.

I'm so glad Obama won, and I'll be supporting the next candidate who isn't a Clinton just like I did before!

I'm not a fan either for a variety of reasons. One of those was my dad, who wholeheartedly wanted Hillary to win in 2008 because she was tied to Bill, who had solved a lot of problems. Maybe, but Bill wasn't running.
For an old, pretty racist Dem, he has come around and respects President Obama.

And so it goes.
