Politics Done Right on KPFT - When news is not news real news get neutered
Cable news have been obsessed with the story of an Iranian taking hostages in a Sydney Australia cafe. They brought on experts throughout the night, morning, and afternoon. They acted as if it was a national terrorist event. When a similar gunman attacked in Canada, the American media behaved the same. They hyperventilated.
It was comical to see the American media coverage relative to the Canadians’ coverage then. It was even more comical comparing the Australian coverage to today’s coverage in the American media.
Why does that matter? It matters because we are all hurt by real news that go uncovered.
