So, the GOP has decided

That Joni Ernst who has been in office for about 5 minutes is the best qualified person to give the response to the State of the Union????
Wow, the pickings are even slimmer than I thought. Way to go GOP.

Maybe she figured out how to get them off the board and will show them what she's got to offer.

This should be interesting.

As a native Iowan (though currently living in another state), I am so embarrassed for my state. For a very long time, only Iowa and Mississippi had never sent a woman to Washington. But as the Iowans I have spoken with said, "But did it have to be HER?!"

President Obama to pre-issue his SOTU Address to the republicans and the media ... then, give an entirely different speak leaving out or changing the big initiatives in the released speech and replacing them with bigger initiatives. For example, replace requesting funds from congress for infrastructure repair with announcing the formation a national WPA-style work program to coordinate and accomplish infrastructure repair.

The response(s) to the SOTU is written days before the address, this would smash that model ... and we'd get a view of the true "under pressure Ernst".

The right wing was selling that crook as the party's savior. They are attempting the same thing with Ernst.
