2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThere are really only three candidates who can possibly win the GOP nomination...
...it will be fun to see how long any of the others last, and if some of them choose not to run after all:

(2,188 posts)I remember that pic from 2008, it was very funny at the time. A little confusing as to why it's posted now however.

(43,890 posts)Interesting that it's (Barak) Obama, but Hillary (Clinton).
Men addressed by their last name, women by their first name.

(2,188 posts)With the others it's their faces superimposed on Moe and Larry. She's refereed as Hillary because of the confusion to Bill. George W. Bush was refereed to as W or Bush 43. Nothing to do with gender. Elizabeth Warren gets called Warren. If I called John McCain simply John, no one would know who I meant. There's way too many Johns, but only one Hillary in politics.

(1,415 posts)...he's the only reasonably appealing personality in the field. Also quick on his feet. But yikes, he's no Bill Clinton, agreed.

(1,811 posts)Damn, I must need a life.
The tell was it's characterization of Rand Paul's appeal to the "very far left". Y'know
anti-war and pro-privacy?
Rand Paul, whose libertarian mix of policies appeal a bit to the far right (limited federal government when it comes to taxation and social issues) and the very far left (limited government when it comes to NSA-style snooping and a strong anti-war headset),
Derp mindset? I thought a headset was earphones.

So many things could be done with it. If you had a big dart board, you could have some fun with it.

... Only 5% of likely Iowa GOP caucus-goers told Quinnipiac University pollsters that they planned to vote for Bush, placing him No. 7 in the field of declared or potential 2016 candidates ... He may not have as much room to grow over the next year as other candidates do. One-quarter of Republicans said they definitely could not support Bush, the lowest ceiling of support of any candidate in the Hawkeye State, and 45% said Bush was "not conservative enough" ...

(45,488 posts)I still think that the Kochs have already anointed Walker and will foist Jeb off as the Cheney-esque elder statesmen VP candidate.
