(14,337 posts)I got called and polled CONSTANTLY. lol I even got a Robo Call from GW! My Repub husband was jealous of that. "What didn't he call ME?"

(6,785 posts)I'm registered as an independent, my dad is registered as a Republican. (And he's an ultra-far right Republican too.)
I've been polled once that I can remember. He gets about an average of five or six calls a week. And that's why I laugh at poll results.

(10,000 posts)The questions were asked in a way that seemed to be encouraging me to respond that I wanted health care reform repealed, and that I wasn't excited about my choices. You couldn't tell at all that these were the surveyors for FAUX sNooze.

(16,984 posts)It's been a while since anyone has polled me over the phone, though I get surveys all the time from other sources (Harris Poll, for instance).
You've done your part, but it sounds as though it wasn't easy.

(10,000 posts)It wasn't all bad, but there was some clear bias in the phrasing of several of the questions.

(6,785 posts)You're fucking up their poll results by not being an extreme right-winger.

(10,000 posts)Usually I get the "push poll" type of calls. I was actually happy to get a real, nationally known poll to skew.

(645 posts)Surprisingly they didn't ask any questions on any elections or specific politicians, it was all "Do you favor or oppose XX, if so do you strongly favor, somewhat favor, somewhat oppose, or strongly oppose"

(10,000 posts)I was asked whether Defense/Security Issues, Domestic Issues, Economic Issues, or Cultural Issues were more important
I was asked about my view on the healthcre bill (Strongly Approve, Somewhat Approve, etc.), as well as my view of the proposed repeal, whether I had health insurance, whether I thought the reform would change my health care coverage, and my opinion of my coverage.
They asked whether my mind was made up, or whether I'd consider voting for Mitt Romney.
I was asked whether I'd vote generic Democrat/Republican in a congressional race
I was asked if the country was headed in the wrong or right direction.

(10,000 posts)They probably datamined my credit information.
I have a friend who's decidedly independent in his voting habits, and he gets called by Gallup.
