Early Polls: Bernie Sanders Surges In New Hampshire

In a trio of new polls in early primary states, Hillary Clinton leads Democratic rivals in Iowa, South Carolina and New Hampshire.

It’s in the Granite State, however, where the former secretary of state’s standing is the least rock-solid, according to new polls conducted by Morning Consult.

Among Democratic voters who say they will participate in the state’s primary next year, 44 percent back Clinton. Next up: independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, the self-described socialist from neighboring Vermont, who grabs 32 percent. Vice President Joe Biden, who has shown little inclination to run, claims 8 percent of likely Democratic voters.

After Obama's upset win in Iowa, it appeared to many political observers that he would ride a wave of momentum through the New Hampshire primaries and then onward to win the Democratic nomination. Eulogies were published on the Clinton campaign,[44] as Obama surged to a roughly 10-point lead in the New Hampshire polls.[45] However, the race turned quickly in the days before the primary, and the polls were slow to register a reversal toward Clinton.

Once we leave the predominantly Caucasian enclaves of IA & NH, you'll see an entirely different dynamic come into play. I still don't know why they get to go first, as they probably have the least diverse populations in the country.
