He is on this. Do you all think he does not know what a fuck up that was? The best thing about being a Bernie Sanders supporter is knowing that he has this, that he has us. He will mess up, he is human. He could have handled this better, he is human. To think he has not already reached out to try to listen and correct this is idiocy.
We need to listen to those who are screaming. Do we listen to all people who are screaming? No, we don't and we should be discerning about who we do listen to. I doubt any of us are taking the squeals of The Donald to heart. This is something that we ALL care about. It is something so horrendous that we cry over it almost daily now so why are we not listening? Instead we are rallying around our candidate who does not need us to protect him. If he fails this we either suck it up and stay with him or look elsewhere. This is a perfect campaign experience. I think he will be fabulous but how many people will be lost because we can't just sit and listen?
I am sorry, I am annoyed. None of y'all want to hear this and not all of us need to hear this but really, we do not need to shield Bernie from criticism, we need to stop telling black people how to do this. After all the years they have suffered in this country to be in this place still, I can't imagine it. Listen to them and stop trying to bring them to Bernie. Let Bernie do that, it is his job. We need to be the back-up to whatever they think they need to be heard.

(32,886 posts)something here. And if he doesn't, that's the answer as to whether he should be running at all.
My money is on that he will have a good response to this.
But for sure, the answer is not to lecture the black community on what they should be thinking.
