2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI keep seeing the claim that Sanders, like O'Malley and Clinton, said "All lives matter"
in response to "Black lives matter." I can't find any instance of him saying that, but I could have missed it if he did. Is anyone aware of such an instance? (I do think, by the way, that saying "all lives matter" in response to "black lives matter" is both offensive and clueless.)

(9,289 posts)I tried googling it, but couldn't find anything. If he said it early on, then it may have been due to simple ignorance of the black lives matter movement, but I will wait to see what turns up.

I think certain people wanted to make this an issue, and so they did. There wasn't much else he could have done given the circumstances.
