Soon people will realize the scare tactics about the ACA are all just smoke and mirrors.

Good, but it needs to go higher than that in order to achieve a big enough advantage with Independents.

What the Democrats need to do is to SELL the program. They often don't stand up enough for Democratic policies the way say FDR used to do for the New Deal.

Get out there and start advocating its advantages!

Like SS (OASDI), once the program gets into place and people experience its benefits, it will become so popular that it will achieve '3rd Rail' status. Conservatives will be relegated to chipping away at the margins.

If you apply the "6 degrees of separation" theory, as more and more people know somebody who has benefited from the program, it will gain in popularity. Even now, I know, or know of several families that have received help due just the first items that have been implemented.

Therefore I believe that the support for the position of the Republican position - against any kind of meaningful health care reform - just look at Mitch McConnell's comments to Chris Wallace- is actually much lower than this poll indicates.

during the debates, when Repubs liked to crow about the high negatives in the polls, they failed to mention that half, or nearly half, of the negatives were from those who thought it didn't go far enough.
