(19,326 posts)or whatever Trump wanna-be ReThug becomes the GOP nominee.
No matter who the Dem nominee is .. you pegged it.
24/7 wall to wall M$M Clown Car coverage through Primaries.
While Dems dither & stall .. with too-few debates, too-late to gather
the exposure momentum needed to compete.
this is political suicide for the Party, trying to bend it to the will
of the Establishment.
I hope Hillary supporters are "proud" of their candidate
This is on Hill, hell she could pick up the phone and call DWS and say
"you know, maybe we should listen to voters for the betterment of the
Party on this one. Let's have a few more/sooner debates."
But I highly doubt Clinton will do that.

(6,416 posts)My money says someone else's money (Koch Bros.???) will provide him with some incentive to step aside at an opportune moment.
He will have done his job, played his role through the primary season. Just like some former politicians are rewarded for their "service" with cushy jobs after their terms, Trump too will be rewarded for his service - only it won't involve him actually being in office.

(206 posts)Then it is time to rid ourselves of Debbie. We need, and America needs, a vigorous and lively debate about the problems we face and the proposed solutions. I don't want to vote for a candidate and discover that I voted for Republican lite. Debbie, rig the election and you will pay. I hate to say it, but Bill Clinton was the best Republican President since Ike.

Of course, this is only a theory. I don't imagine all of them would agree to something like this.

(24,853 posts)The DNC would somehow prevent the networks from televising the debate(s) nationally, even going so far as to sue.
So... the "informal" debate(s) would get absolutely no coverage at all. I'm betting that at the same time the real candidates (and not someone who simply wants to be FIRST something or other) were discussing issues, Hillary would be giving a nationally televised speech.

(6,592 posts)He's a better man than I am, hugging DWS without spitting up on her shoulder.
I also didn't like what sounded to me like O'Malley's digs (very mild) at Bernie's running as a Democrat.
But then he tore into the DNC's lack of debates, and his nod to the 50-state strategy. Go Martin!
Edited to say that O'Malley, polished as he is, needs a good speech coach. Bernie, I think, is a natural.
Le Taz Hot
(22,271 posts)he'll throw his support to Hillary because he's a good little party boy which is exactly what turns me off about him.
SusanCalvin
(6,592 posts)Bernie will as well, I think, but because he considers what is best in a given situation, not because he is a party automaton.
I edited my above post to say something sorta like that. O'Malley said things I liked about the debate schedule, he was polished, but he seemed kinda canned.
Edited to add: still watching, nothing touches Bernie's urgency and conviction.
