Bernie Sanders and Guns

I notice a few threads here and there attacking Senator Sanders for his views on Gun Control...so just wanted to add my two cents. As an old fashioned (and by old I mean 57 years old) liberal/progressive Democrat in the mold of Hubert Humphrey, Gaylord Nelson, Floyd B. Olson and born too early Republican Fightin' Bob LaFollete I'm a fan of strict gun control laws...on the other hand as a hunter and owner of numerous shotguns and rifles I appreciate Senator Sanders' more nuanced approached to gun control. The best Democratic candidate will be a strong supporter of gun control but also be able to relate to those of us that represent responsible gun ownership and the conservation traditions of the aforementioned pols and fellow hunters and gun owners such as Aldo Leopold, Theodore Roosevelt and pretty much every liberal politician I knew growing up in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
