If I had any say in the matter, the DNC would run a string of TV ads featuring the nuttiest Repukes I can find - in office or out. Michelle Bachmann, Steve King, James Inhofe, Jan Brewer at their looniest. At the end would be a banner - a vote for a Republican is a vote for insanity.

1. I really don't understand why this isn't done more.

Most people don't watch political TV or even read the news so they may not know about the truly outrageous and ridiculous things Rethugs say all the time.

Put video of them speaking their own words in an ad and destroy the Republican brand!

Don't take anything out of context. You don't need to. Just shame them and people will be disgusted just like those of us who are already aware of their insanity.

The wingnuts won't be affected because they agree with the Rethug nuttiness, but so-called Independents are the ones I believe aren't paying attention and could be swayed by a shame approach. It would help with Dem turnout too because it will inspire them to keep the crazies out of government.

Your tag line might be a little harsh, but I'm sure there could be a way of framing it to show that unreasonable people don't deserve to be in positions of power.
