On Twitter, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy goes by @GOPLeader. He does not tweet as @kevinmccarthy. He does not tweet as @kevinmccarthy!
But, the Internet does not seem to know that, and the presidential campaign of former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is taking full advantage.
The @kevinmccarthy one belongs to a guy named Kevin McCarthy in Des Moines, Iowa. The Iowa McCarthy has received no shortage of messages on Twitter since the California Republican threw his hat into the ring for speaker and commented on the political implications of the House’s committee investigating the attack on Benghazi, Libya, which he has since revised and extended.

But once the Clinton operation figured out who the other McCarthy was, they decided to feature him in a video, responding to misdirected mean Tweets.
“I get why you’re mad. I do,” says the other Kevin McCarthy. “This guy, who’s probably going to be the next speaker of the House, just said that the committee that’s supposed to be investigating Benghazi is now focusing its attention on Hillary’s emails, with an eye towards hurting her poll numbers? So, instead of focusing on the American tragedy they said they’d focus on, they’re spending our taxpayer dollars to play electoral politics.”..................
