(3,128 posts)Bernie is following in Jerry Brown's footsteps where Meg Whitman spent almost $180 million only to lose to Jerry Brown for whom no one was very excited.
Difference: We are VERY excited about Bernie!

(17,796 posts)but that's not very high praise, is it? We can, and should, do better. But you knew I was going to say that, didn't you?

(17,796 posts)how 'd'emocratic. So you're unwilling to work with some one without a d in front of their name?

(13,685 posts)He works in government. All government workers are socialists.
People like Trump are capitalists. Our problems arise from the fact that capitalists get elected to office and start working to get more capital, instead of working for society.

(3,412 posts)Hillary has nothing to do with Bernie calling himself a socialists,
the country and the Dem don't have time to fight GOP on this
playing field. Hillary is a Dem, she wants regulated capitalism,
that is were most Americans stand.

(10,007 posts)On the one hand, we have monied interests hooking up their puppet strings to our Party 'leaders', then on the other we have the sycophantic True Believers that clap when the strings make them jump around.
We see the paid-off local bottom feeders
passing themselves off as leaders
kiss the ladies, shake hands with the fellows
then it's 'Open for Business!" like a cheap bordello
...and they call it 'democracy.'

(44 posts)I was hoping he would make a serious run, but he will not be the nominee, if by chance he were, he would lose in a landslide in the General.
After last night I am heavily leaning towards HRC.....I'll vote for whoever the D is, but lots of people wouldn't......Do you really trust white haired 73 year old Bernie Sanders who answers nearly every question with an answer about income inequality and how we need to "be more like Denmark" to keep the Republicans out of the White House and from naming the next 2-4 supreme court justices?
I do not.
He's great, and I respect him and love his voice.....but losing isn't an option......We can bury the conservative pigs with another win in 2016.
Hillary will name at least 2 and with some luck maybe 3 or 4......
